Jewelry Repairing – Making The Old New

Some time ago I had a pair of earrings that needed repairing, as the hooks became rusty. I replaced them and did a Do It Yourself Video (DIY video) that would surely help someone with the same problem. I also did a short blog entitled “Replacing Rusted Earring Hooks” and you can check it out here. https://yourwardrobe.biz/2018/08/10/replacing-rusted-earring-hooks-diy-video/

Most recently a relative asked me if I could repair some necklaces that were broken. She explained that they were beautiful pieces, with sentimental value and she did not want to toss them out. I found, when I examined them, that they were really nice designs indeed and I jumped at the challenge to restore them. The repairs came out really nice and so I thought I would share them in this blog.

Just check out the before and after photos. Let me know what you think and feel free to leave a comment below.

I grew up seeing my mother on the sewing machine a lot. Our house was always filled with fabric and I was bitten by the sewing bug at an early age. Today, in addition to Photography, I also make accessories and children’s clothing, under the Your Wardrobe Label.
